It's all about the weights babes!

If you didn't know already I am a massive fan of 'strength training' for myself and my clients. But guess what it's not always been this way, if I rewind back to about 10 years ago I honestly believed lifting weights wasn't for me and that it would make me look like a body builder (bulky) when in all honesty it doesn't!

I mean of course you can become a body builder and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that but the truth is for the average woman who lifts weights on a regular basis (around 3 -4 times a week) you will not become bulky but you will become confident, sexy and strong.

Regular strength training can provide numerous benefits for women (especially aged 30+). Here are just some of the benefits of regular strength training:

  1. Improved muscle mass: As women age, they may experience a decline in muscle mass, which can contribute to reduced strength, mobility, and balance. Regular strength training can help build and maintain muscle mass, which can improve physical function and reduce the risk of falls.

  2. Increased metabolism: Strength training can help increase muscle mass, which can improve metabolism and aid in weight management.

  3. Improved bone health: Regular strength training can help build bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures, especially in Menopausal women.

  4. Reduced risk of chronic disease: Strength training has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and some cancers.

  5. Improved mental health: Strength training has been shown to improve mood and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.

  6. Increased functional fitness: Regular strength training can improve functional fitness, making it easier to perform activities of daily living such as lifting shopping, carrying children, or taking the stairs.

  7. Improved posture and balance: Strength training can improve posture and balance, which can reduce the risk of falls and improve overall physical function.

No matter your health and fitness goal lifting weights will get you there and more! If you are ready to start your lifting journey you know where to find me.
